"At some point in their careers, all teachers experience the inevitable paradox of teaching. There’s no question that teaching can be enjoyable, even rewarding. At the same time, however, teaching can include feelings of frustration and a sense that teaching is impossible to master, especially amidst an ever-changing education landscape. Although eager to advocate for needed change or support, a teacher’s passion can sometimes work against them.
This session is for teachers who want to embrace the contradictions of teaching while maintaining an open-minded, professional presence. Participants will have a chance to acknowledge challenges of the profession while learning strategies to promote change, share solutions, and champion teacher expertise.
